I have added more text to the front cover of the magazine to make it look like a professional front cover with brief descriptions of what will be inside this issue, i have added the date and issue number above the M in Total Film, I have done this because that is what the magazine does on most issues, I have also used a plus sign like that of total films on the bottom of the cover again this is how total film add extra text on the cover, I have added the barcode from a total film magazine to make it more realistic.

Questionnaire & Results

Here is my screen shot of me posting my questionnaire on Facebook, I have did this because I should get a lot of feedback from my questionnaire as this is a popular social networking site. I will do a post of my results soon.
Here are my results from my A2 Questionnaire which was about if people are affected in a good way or a bad way from the different ways a film is distributed through several advertising techniques.
From this first question, this has helped me support my genre because I think that both genders would like this trailer which is a Thriller/Horror because 6 males have answered this question and 3 females have answered this question also
From these results I now know that my trailer will be a 15 age rating because the majority of the answers I received were people who were 15 or higher.
From this information gained I now know from 10 responses which are their favourite genre's, Thriller and Horror were both voted from 4-5 people which is good as half the people voted for these two genre's as their favourite, this will help me towards further research as my trailer is going to be a Thriller/Horror.

Theories In A Film Trailer - The Amazing Spiderman
In this post I will be analysing a trailer, which is The Amazing Spiderman by using the Narrative Theory. Firstly the characters we see in this trailer are:
- Peter Parker/Spiderman (Hero)
- Gwen Stacy (The Princess)
- Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard (The Helper/Villain)
- Captain Stacy (False Hero/The Helper/The Father)
- Richard Parker (Donor)
- Uncle Ben (Dispatcher)
I know from the trailer why these characters are hero's and villains, there are certain qualities that they posses, the trailer is portraying them in this way so the audience would know a few of the basic character before they See the film

Film Magazine Analysis - Inception
The Masthead is very well presented as it relates to the film poster as it relates to the theme of the film production as it is very unrealistic and quite abstract. The use of mixing the background with the masthead as it is makes the attraction towards the audience as it is quite eye catching. The background image is a very good choice in images. The reasons of this is that the film is symbolised by the actor Leonardo De Caprio is more of a noticeable image to the target audience. The way he is dressed shows alot of power and class and the film would be concealed by Leonardo De Caprio's character. The banner has the buzz word "mind-blowing" in big red text that is very eye catching and the audience would be dragged in by it.

Suggests that media happens to people and they have no free choice in whether or not to interact with, and experience, intelligence and opinions of an individual are not relevant to the reception of the text. As an audience, we are manipulated by the creators of media text, and that are behaviour and thinking might be easily changed by media-makers.
Reception Theory
This theory looks at individual circumstances (Gender, Age, Ethnicity).
The text is encoded by the producer,meaning that the person who made it intended for it to be read and interpreted in a certain way.
The text is therefore decoded by the audience, however, an audience consists of hundreds to thousands or even millions of people who decode things in different ways.

Film Package Analysis Dark Knight Rises
In this post, I will be describing how The Dark Knight Rises has been promoted so far. I will be explaining how this film has been recognised so far and how the Posters, Film Trailers and the magazine covers all link to each other. And how the film poster stand out compared to Batman Begins & The Dark Knight.

These poster are both really similar in many ways, and the "The Dark Knight Rises" poster therefore gives us a personal identity of the previous posters, like the "The Dark Knight" poster, which has the Batman symbol on the building which is on fire on the building which is burning but it looks like it is still stable even though the audience can see bits of rubble coming down the building. And Batman in both posters is standing in a very similar stance which suggests that Batman is still strong and still alive. All three posters have batman as the main image to show that he is the main character in this film, the way they have positioned him shows the basis of the story, in batman begins it looks like he is being constructed or build by bats, this shows the beginning of something, in the dark knight it has a dark or Gothic look and feel to it were the batman logo is on fire behind him, this shows this film is set in a time of darkness and the batman is a beacon of hope but is like fire, i helps us in so many ways but can be destructive & finally the dark knight rises shows that the batman is in a dark place or city & somewhere he belongs but like the last poster the batman logo is above him and he is needed & the batman would needed to "rise"
This trailer which was released this year, and it shows the audience what characters are their in this film, and which ones are hero's and which ones are villains. It also shows the audience were the film is set and shows the audience that this film is an action film and the conclusion is a trilogy.
The way these films are linked together not because they are all part of a trilogy but because its the same cast and crew on the three films and the trailers, posters & films will have some of the same elements (see image below for an example)

Golden Trailer Awards
The Devil Inside Won The Golden Trailer Awards For Best Horror Trailer, Because I Am Doing A Horror Film For My Coursework I Will Be Analysing This Trailer.
I think that this film trailer is good in many ways, firstly because of how it uses the music and sound, like at the start of the trailer it sounds like a phone call to the police were a woman says she's killed 3 people, this instantly tells the audience that this is a horror film.After the phone call a creepy music plays that has a classic horror feel towards it, this also tells the audience that this film is a horror. The non-diegetic sound used at the end is goes well with the the film as there is a creepy voice singing the itsy bitsy spider, again this is another well used element in horror films.
The Minse En Scene in this trailer can suggest several things towards the audience because of how well it has been used on this trailer, like the all the crosses around the asylum suggesting that there is something evil that is being held in this place of god. This can make the audience understand the characters and they would therefore may want to know how they are in the story plot. The Woman Maria is portrayed as crazy or posest and this is the main feature of the film of posetion, this is shown by the blank expression that is in the characters face and the scars on her body.
I think they deserved the award as well because the audience would be impressed with the realism and scariness in this trailer, because from the audience watching this trailer they will know that this film will be scary and already have in mind the basis of the film from past films that have had the same story how ever with recent horror films it is becoming less predictable to see the ending coming

The Importance Of Music, Sound & Editing In A Trailer
Music, Sound and Editing have a huge impact on how film trailers engage the audience. The music and sound has to be different depending on the film genre, like if a film is a drama then it would need music like ballad or slow paced song , and the editing would need a slow pace to it aswell.
A Example Of This Is The Film The FIghter Were The Audio Used Is A Song Called "Strip My Mind" This Fits Into The Films Dramatic And Emotional Style Due To The Theme Of Drugs, Betrayal And Courage. Then The Song "Run This Town Tonight" Changes The Mood Of The Film However And Picks You The Pace Of The Film With A Montage Of Boxing Fights, These Two Songs Have Portrayed To The Audience What Time Film Is About And Also The Genre, The Song Sets The Scene While The Images Tell The Story

History Of Film Trailers
In this post I will be explaining and describing how film trailers have changed throughout the years.
Firstly, film trailers have developed a life of their own over the last 50-60 years, and have evolved as much as the films itself have changed. Their style and pace have shorted and changed many times, as each decade took on a personality of its own.
1950's
Longer Trailers
Told the whole story, or almost revealed the whole plot.
Flashed words on the screen, such as: "Terrifying", "Close Your Eyes", "Never Before Seen"
1960's
Still used bold flashing words
Build trailers on famous actor names
Used Narration to summarize story
Often showed the ending of the film, in order to reveal an exciting effect
1970's
Revealed less of the story, but still showed many key scenes
Were still long
Had poor edited scenes
1980's
More abruptly edited
Told very little about the film
Often included scenes that were cut from the final edit of the film
Total mystery about the endings Began to revel in catchy tag-lines
1990's to 2012
Contain better effects
Better sound

Reveal more or less of the story
